With guaranteed sightings of humpback whales, from August to October, the Wide Bay region is the whale watch capital of Australia.  See these majestic mammals as they frolic in the tropical waters of Queensland when they arrive with their new borns to mate.

Even though they can weigh up to 2.3 tonnes, the humpback calves are born without enough blubber to survive in the cold waters of the southern ocean so the females travel to the tropics to give birth. On their journey southward once more, the calves feed on fat rich milk to gain weight and their mothers pause in the Wide Bay to mate ready for the next generation.

Relax in comfort while the whales come to the boat to check you out.  Seeing them spy hopping, breaching and tail slapping is an awesome experience!

We've been out every year and it just gets better and better! Our reception desk would be delighted to give you further information and help book your tour.  Simply call us on (07) 4121 2366.
